was wondering if anyone could help me. my name is sarah lemons keel. my grandparents on my maternal side was frank edward maddle (1930-2004) and evie lois rittenberry (1931-1997). the parents of frank edward were dora mccloud (1905-1990) and beecher whittaker (the only information i have on mr. whittaker is that he was married when my great grandmother became pregnant. my grandfather knew that this was his father but papa took his last name from noah lee madewell who dora married and raised him. my mother said that mr whittaker passed away in the 1960′s.
the parents of evie lois were sarah smith (1895-1984) and john monroe rittenberry (1879-1936). monroe rittenberry died from injuries and illness related to a car accident and my aunt johnnie was the last baby born to them six months after monroe died.
from what i have found dora’s parents were daniel mccloud (1870-1932) and dicie (maiden name unknown).
i dont have any info at all on beecher whittaker besides him passing away in the 1960′s.
sarah smiths parents were loyd smith and mary lucy crook (1884-1958) lucy crook later married dee madewell. i dont have anything else on loyd smith.
i have the parents of mary lucy crook as shady crook and mary l whitehead. i dont have anything really on mary whitehead except possibly born around 1850.
i am not quite clear why people believe that mary lucy crook was married to win denson and had several children including my great grandmother sarah. i have not found anything confirming this fact at all.
if any of these names sound familiar or if you can help me fill in the gaps i would appreciate it.
thank you sarah lemons keel

I am looking for photos of my great great grandparents William H. Wilhite and Sarah Ann “Sallie” Stone Wilhite.
William Wilhite was born in the Cherry Creek Community 28 Feb 1840 and died 4 Nov 1887. He is buried on the Mackie Farm just off Cherry Creek and Plum Creek Rd in Sparta. Sarah Ann Stone or Sallie as she was known was born 10 Feb 1846 in Sparta and lived in Stone Hollow and died 29 Apr 1928. She is buried in Highland Cemetery in Sparta.
William was one of the few soldiers in Tennessee who fought for the Union, Co B, First Tennessee Mounted Infantry.
William and Sarah Ann lived on Cherry Creek Road in Sparta.
I would also be looking for photos of any of their children Sampson, Lula Dee, Stone, Jennette Lucy (who is my G Grandmother), Lucy, Willie Ann, and George.
I have had no luck so far in acquiring these photos. I do have pictures of Sarah Ann’s parents Iredell and Jane “Jennie” Stone.

Can anyone help identify these people? Thanks, email me email@example.com
In the 1880 census my Great Great Grandfather Eli Helmantoler said he was born in Indian. I know that he claimed TN in all previous census entries. His father was Jacob and his Grandfather was Jacob that show up in the Smith Co Census in 1820. I have seen early TN maps that show that Indian boarder with the Cherokees was what is now the Jackson county line. Would there be any indian country records in 1818?
Does anyone know where I can purchase a copy of the Smith County History, published about 30 years ago?
