Pless or Pleas Tollison of Sparta, TN and Detroit, Michigan

I found an article about an explosion under the Detroit river probably in the early 1930′s in which Pleas or Pless Tollison of Sparta, Tennessee is mentioned. He was a foreman of the blasting crew. I know nothing more about him and whomever cut the article out did not date or cite the newspaper.

About ackruszka

I am a retired former medical secretary, former library employee from Michigan. My husband and I moved to Cookeville from Livonia, Michigan in October of 2007. We are enjoying our new home in Cookeville. I've been actively researching my family for 25 years and the more I do the more I want to do. My current project is transcribing letters written by my paternal grandparents between 1917 and 1927 and several letters from other family members. Unfortunately, my grandfather had to destroy the letters his bride-to-be wrote him during the Great War, but I have several from her to him in 1927 which gives me a good idea of their relationship. My grandmother died in 1938 long before I was born.
